RULES / STANDING ORDERS /CLUB WATERS
(as of 27th may 2008)
(A) RULES
1. The club shall be called Glossop Amalgamated Angling
Society. (G.A.A.S.)
2. Permits
to fish any of the club waters are NOT TRANSFERABLE.
3. Access
to the various club waters is laid down in the standing orders.
4. No
litter to be left on any of the club waters.
5. Members
are requested to remove any litter found on club waters - even though it may not
be of their own making.
6. Members
will not interfere with banks of club waters, nor trespass on adjoining
property, or interfere with any farm implements or livestock
7. Members
will respect and protect farm property and the interests of the club and will
conduct themselves in a proper manner when fishing club waters.
8. Fishing
is restricted to one landing, a maximum of two rods may be used. (if two rods
are used at least one must be a free spool or similar.)
9. Membership
cards must be carried when fishing club waters and must be produced on demand by
any club member or authorised person. NO CARD — NO FISHING.
10. No
fish or plants are to be added to , or taken away from, the club waters.
11. Ground
baiting is left to the discretion of the members.
12. On
day of a working party no fishing is allowed on any club water where work is in
progress until work is completed.
13. Junior
members will have full voting rights, except on any money matters.
14. No
pleasure fishing will be allowed on the day of a match, or during a match on
nominated waters.
15. Any
member found using the wrong access to any club water will be expelled from the
club.
16. Members
must attend one working party per year, for which they will receive a discount
on the following years fee.
17. One
guest ticket per member per day only, available from Arundel Aquatics.
18. Use
of blood worm is allowed
only on Dinting Front Lodge.
19. STRICTLY
NO NIGHT FISHING ON PADFIELD.
20.
No keep nets to be used during the close season (15th March to 15th
June).
21. Keep
nets must conform to NRA standards.

22.
No fish over 2lb to be kept in nets, except during matches.
23. Any
member found leaving cans/tins on any of the club waters will be expelled from
the club.
24. Any
member found leaving litter on any of the club waters will be expelled from the
club.
25 The club DOES NOT ACCEPT responsibility for personal
injury, or for loss of, or damage to tackle whilst fishing on club waters.
26. Any
person fishing on club waters, does so at their own risk.
27. Small
stoves are permitted but strictly NO open fires
28.
No alcohol of any kind shall be permitted on any of G.A.A.S. waters

(B)
STANDING ORDERS
1.
CLUB OFFICERS will consist of a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and any
other Committee Member (s)
duly elected
2.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS will be held on the last Tuesday evening in May.
3.
A QUORUM for the A.G.M. will consist of a Minimum of 10 paid up members of the
club.
4.
If subscriptions for membership ARE NOT received by the April meeting,
membership will be deemed to
have lapsed.
5.
Alterations to club rules and / or standing orders
These shall only be varied or deleted at the A.G.M. or other General
Meeting called for that purpose.
Members shall be given 14 days notice of the proposed amendment.
6.
The committee is responsible for administering and updating the rules of the
club.
7.
Committee members and any other club member are responsible for taking the name
and address of any member committing
an offence on any of the club waters.
8.
New membership will NOT be accepted at the A.G.M. or special Meeting.

(D) ROUTES AND ACCESS TO CLUB WATERS
1. Always use the correct access. (as
shown on the maps).
2. If
in doubt as to the correct crossing of land, please consult other club members.
3. AS
it is the farmers prerogative to refuse access, everything must be done to
ensure continuing good relations with those farmers whose land we cross.
